Everything Sashii

Let’s introduce you all to Everything Sashii. Her music is a complete reflection of herself. Whether the stories are good or bad, they need to be told. She’s simply nothing more than a beautiful soul that refused to be broken by this world. She wants to share her life and all that love with everyone in it.

As a New York native, from Southside Jamaica, Queens, Sashii has lived in every borough outside of Manhattan. The way she grew up was a little different. She was born third out of seven children and was like a second mother to her siblings – the advisor, the nurturer, the cook, you name it. She grew up quick starting at a young age. If there is anyone who has heard her music, it was most likely over food, because food, love and music all ring the same bell for Sashii.

Music has always had a great presence in her life. When going through all her “craziness”, as she calls it, singing, rapping and writing was all she had. According to her mother, since she was 18 months old, she was a singer. She’d sing along, not quite making out the words, to Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down” as a cute little toddler.  According to Sashii, she was just following along, copying her mother and grandmother singing as they cooked, cleaned, shopped, walked, talked. It made her want to use her voice, too.

As for rapping, she definitely got it from her big brother,Jayo. At around 8 years old, she’d write rhymes for the homies hanging in the house thinking she was all that! Today, she still enjoys writing rhymes and spreading her message and stories.

Presently, she lives in St Albans, Queens, working on her dream. Sashii records with her own equipment in her basement because, honestly, waiting on people to have time for HER Music, wasn’t satisfying enough. With the help of her producer, Champ, who just kind of fell into her reality, she’s been coming a long way. She didn’t give up on music per se (never that), but she was at a point where she had given up on a lot and he snatched her back to reality. She had to realize that nobody else is gonna tell her story. Yet, the lessons that can be taught from them are necessary.

In the future, her hopes are to become the person she sees when she looks in the mirror. The person she knows she’s supposed to be because of the artist that lives within. She wants to work with artists like H.E.R., Khalid, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Ella Mai, Childish Gambino, and Adele, just to name a few. She wants to work professionally with producers up in the ranks of Krucial and Mike Will Made It. She has Everything Sashii to show to the world, and she hopes the world is ready for it.
